Two Die in Fort Worth Apartment Blaze

Five people perished in an early morning fire that destroyed a two story apartment building in Fort Worth. A woman about 50 a girl of 18 and a boy of 4 were among the dead. one badly burned occupant survived briefly. The blaze believed sparked by a gas stove when Miss Belle Stevens 78 struck a match. Witnesses recounted screams explosions and residents leaping from windows to escape the flames.

Man Questioned in Slaying of Woman

Victor Harrison Redmond 42, a Washington lunch room counterman, was taken to Upper Marlboro for questioning in the murder of Corinna Loring three weeks after his arrest on a charge of assault and battery on a 12 year old girl at Mt Ranier.
