Explosion at Humble No. 8 Worley well near Pampa injures two

Gordon Charlton, a Humble Oil driller from San Antonio, is dead after an oil soaked clothing explosion at the Humble No. 8 Worley well in Gray county near Pampa. Robert Clark, a Pennsylvania tool dresser, suffers burns from attempting to save Charlton. The fire was still burning and the cause is undetermined.
