Ticket buyers lined up at the Municipal Auditorium for the Pampa Amarillo grid game on Thanksgiving Day. The scene featured fires, music, and friends sharing food while crowds awaited the 5 pm ticket office opening.

HUNTSVILLE Nov 22 Hope of J F Hogan of Hidalgo County escaping electrocution tomorrow for the murder of his wife today waned as no word came from Gov Miriam A Ferguson. Hogan convicted on circumstantial evidence maintained his innocence while facing the end with calmness. June Woolfolk a Bexar County negro is also scheduled to be executed just after midnight.

Soviet Russia ships gold bearing ore to Tacoma Washington to build a hard money reserve for buying American goods. Two consignments valued at about 1.7 million dollars arrived or are en route via the Panama Canal from Leningrad. The ore is refined in Tacoma and the residue sold to the U S government.
