George M. Smith aged 72 of Amarillo died at 6:45 this morning in a local hospital. Burial arrangements are pending at Griggs chapel. He was a Baptist. Kansas City livestock sales show hogs 4,000 head moved with top $13.50 and steady prices across weights. Cattle supply about 1,500 head steady in cleanup with best slaughter steers $13.50 to $14.50 and cows $5.00 to $9.25. Sheep numbers 2,500 with lambs 25 cents higher. top native lambs $13.50 and trucked lots $13.25. Chicago prices listed as hogs up to $13.75 and cattle around $16.00 for 1080 lb steers. Luther A Swan Funeral Held

Funeral services for Luther A. Swan were conducted at 2 PM in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with Dr. R Thomson presiding. Pallbearers included Herb Budke Dr J B Landers Curry Smith Bill Baker Ray Hagan and E J Donegan, both of Pampa. Interment followed at Llano Cemetery with Kiwanis Club members as honorary pallbearers.

Broken Jaw Leads Local Woman to Movie Career

Chinese Labor Draft Extends to Women Too
