Female Fagan Admits Holding Crime School
A Springfield woman Florence Moomaw is jailed on armed robbery attempted robbery and contributing to delinquency of a minor after police say she taught robbery methods to three youths. The youths admitted one robbery and an attempted robbery. Two girls aged 11 and 14, residents of her home, aided in luring and planning crimes. Suspects identified include C hord Von Wert 23 Robert Neat 18 and Paul Black 17. The two girls are in juvenile detention. Mrs. Moomaw signed a statement in the presence of Assistant States Atty Keith Dressendorfer. One youth faced statutory rape charges related to a separate allegation. Slaying of Merwin Browneller Leads Wichita County Jury Probe
A Wichita County grand jury will study the December slaying of 27 year old Merwin Browneller. Chancey G. Puckett 26 a Pampa mechanic surrendered to Texas Ranger Jim Greer in Vernon early Tuesday morning. Browneller’s nude body was found at a Wichita Falls tourist court two hours earlier. Puckett posted a $7500 bond with his wife 16 signing. Parish reported no definite motive yet. Browneller a former Sheppard Field serviceman had lived in Wichita Falls about 10 weeks after federal parole.
