Sacred Heart parish carnival at Cathedral Hall
The annual Sacred Heart parish carnival will be held Monday and Tuesday at Cathedral Hall 1110 Washington under Knights of Columbus Council 1450 direction. Thirteen parish groups will offer games and prizes with a turkey dinner served each evening at 5 by St Marys PTA. Proceeds go to the parish school debt fund. A nursery will care for children during the event. Prizes include a Motorola car radio and other gifts.

A 62 year old handyman in Birmingham Alabama was sentenced to three years in the federal penitentiary at Atlanta by US District Judge Seybourn H. Lynne.
