In Dallas on November 14 a man around 50 threatened to kill a hotel maid after she told him she had two children. He then shot himself in the chest, is hospitalized and not expected to live. He confessed he was despondent and wished to end it all.
Mr and Mrs Ralph Wordley appearing as Wordley Peters with The Circus at the Fair told Globe reporter of upheaval in Hollywood. They spoke of premier pictures and the shift toward high quality photoplays. Wordley recalled a prior offer for The Dark Angel and praised Budapest actress Wilma Banky.
Ross D. Rogers a longtime Northwest Texas theater leader and civic figure closes his desk as manager of the Fair Mission and Deandi theater. He and Mrs. Rogers plan a California vacation and then return to Amarillo where he expects to resume business. Rogers sold his theater interests to the Dent Musselman company. Will Wingus opens as dancer for the three theaters.

Governor Sorlie names Gerald Nye to succeed the late Edwin F. Ladd. The appointment lasts until the special election in June alongside the regular primary. Nye becomes the interim U S senator from North Dakota following Ladd's death.
The Southwest Texas Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church South plans to purchase 405 acres near Canyon for a permanent encampment and park citing temperance aims and unity prospects. The conference closes with appointments readings, ordinations for deacons and elders, memorial services, evangelist appointments, and a farewell sermon by Rev John H.
