Former Amarillo Resident Dies in Topeka
Arthur Steen Tvon a civil engineer and former Amarillo resident died recently in Topeka. News reached Amarillo friends of the family. He lived in Amarillo 14 years leaving in 1929 and worked for the state highway department in Topeka. Survived by widow Gertrude Lyon a son Edward two daughters Betty Lyon and Mrs Lee Cox. Interment was at Elysian Mina. Also notes lightning struck Saaveda Argentina railway station with boiler water dousing the fire.

Turkey Prices Reach Six Year High Ahead of Thanksgiving
The nation's turkey market tightens as wholesale prices jump to 20 to 29 cents per pound for choice hens, 12 to 2 cents higher than a week ago.
