Amarillo High School Orchestra to Perform Coronation Ceremony
Amarillo High School announces its largest orchestra of 57 members will debut Thursday at the annual coronation ceremony under Miss Louise Dicken. The group, also to play for the administrators meeting Saturday at 9 30, will join with the West Texas Philharmonic Orchestra of Pampa directed by Lewis Chamberlain for the Dec 2 concert featuring guest conductors Glen Traux and Louise Dicken and soloist Robert Barron.

Shooting at School Dance Leaves One Dead
Decker said he tried to break up a boys fight outside the school and was badly beaten before firing his pistol twice. Miss Garibay, inside the auditorium, was wounded in both legs. Castillo died last night and Garibay was recovering. The shooting occurred Saturday at midnight.
