An automobile collision occurred on Southern Pacific Railroad tracks, about 20 miles from an unnamed point, adding to the fatalities.

Betty Gow former Lindbergh nurse has been asked by U S authorities to be ready to depart for the United States at a moment’s notice to testify in Bruno Hauptmann’s trial. Her relatives say she is willing though she has not seen Hauptmann. She is closely guarded and has escort when leaving home.
Henri Vergruggen, renowned violinist and former conductor of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, died at Carleton College Hospital in Northfield at age 61 after a stroke. Born August 1, 1873 in Brussels, he led orchestras in the British Isles and Australia and guest conducted in Russia, France, Belgium and Germany.
Lawrence L. Lyon a post graduate USC student was shot to death by a black robber in an attempted holdup. The assailant fled during a running gun battle with officers. The public is urged to join the Red Cross.

Washington November 12 Marvin Jones chairman of the House Agricultural Committee urged modifying the AAA after contract expirations. He proposed local committees set production quotas for cotton and wheat for the domestic market with premiums, allowing farmers to export surplus without premiums while ensuring disposal abroad.
The Belgian Cabinet led by Prime Minister Count Charles De Broqueville will resign Tuesday after a dispute over the national recovery plan. The cabinet was formed on June 12.
J. Bracheen at Brown filling station witnesses a three year old bear that had been a pet tear into farmer W. Tom Brown. Brown dies after being rushed to a hospital eight miles from Bhetfield. The bear is shot after being tracked. Brown leaves a widow and seven children. Burial set for Ozona.
Charles Lemon a 16 year old Phoenix Union High School football player died in a local hospital from a broken neck after colliding with El Paso High School halfback Ed Bunner during the annual Phoenix Union vs El Paso High School game. Surgeons treated him for four hours but he did not survive. It is the first football fatality in El Paso since the series began.
