Mrs. JC Todd of 3000 Polk was crowned Queen of Amarillo High School in a morning assembly. She will undergo the rites again at 7:30 tonight in the school auditorium for parents. The ceremony features a procession of princesses duchesses and ladies in waiting. After the evening coronation entertainers perform and the public is invited with no admission charge.
Landmark Burns at Borger Incendiary Fire Destroys Historic Block
A Borger landmark, Big Heart Care & Supply Store, destroyed by fire. Built in 1926 by Mattie Castleberry, later Mattie's Dance Hall, then cafe-store and apartments under J D Williams. Firefighters battled flames from 9:50 a.m. to noon. roof collapsed minutes after control. Residents included Mr and Mrs Williams and others in three apartments.

Shooting hours: one half hour before sunrise to one hour before sunset, with tomorrow from 12:00 to sunset. Daily bag limits: five ducks, four geese with limits on Canada and whitefronted geese.
