Senate ballots were scheduled to suspend orders to advance action on House Resolution L66e. The move allows time for debate and potential amendments before any formal vote. Stakeholders include lawmakers supporting and opposing the measure and committees awaiting guidance.
The Texas Senate voted 22 to 6 to suspend rules so the House could consider a liquor bill by Rep. J. Bryan Bradbury of Abilene. Debates over liquor regulation followed as the House and Senate exchanged positions on which bills may be discussed, with a 20 to 5 tally sustaining a resolution on the issue.

Eight year old Patty Kincade, daughter of Mr and Mrs A W Kincade of 2606 Hughes Street, remained unconscious and gravely ill after a highway accident near Texarkana. Her father, driving, and Mrs Kincade were slightly hurt while two other children were at home. Local banker G K Richardson reported the update from Texarkana. Patty's condition was described as "extremely critical" with little chance of recovery.
Weather forecast for Amarillo and vicinity shows fair conditions tonight and Thursday with warmer temperatures. Lows near 40, highs reaching the 60s, with isolated showers in the extreme southeast portion and light frost possible in the extreme west area. Temperature range 30 to 64.
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled district judges lacked authority to bar newspapers from publishing testimony from a public trial and freed six Houston newspapermen from contempt. The editors were fined and had appealed for habeas corpus after being cited for refusing to obey a publication ban on testimony in Clyde Thompson’s murder case.
Reports from Nogales Sonora indicate a pitched battle between insurgents and federal troops near Ciudad Obregon left one soldier dead and six wounded. About six hundred rebels, including 250 with American made machine guns, were said to have taken part. Rebel forces reportedly repelled an air and infantry assault Monday as the border city feared renewed bloodshed.

Twenty two seamen and fishermen aboard the steamer La Bere, owned by Lake Manitoba Fisheries, are stranded as ice traps the vessel off Grand Rapids and Eagle Island on Lake Winnipeg. The ship departed Selkirk October 24 for winter fishing. Rescue attempts by air are blocked by weak ice and shortages threaten food if relief delays persist.
Naval powers postpone the London naval conference from December 2 to December 5 to provide Japanese delegates additional travel time.
A decomposed body about 60 years old was found hanging from a Canyon railroad trestle by Santa Fe foreman Saunders. A three foot rope, blue overalls, and a lone poetry clue were found. Sheriff Barnett said a transient likely died by suicide. funeral services were planned at Dreamland Cemetery.
New York November report says Henry Fairfield Osborn eminent scientist died today at his residence in Garrison New York. The American Museum of Natural History announced the death.
