House Committee Plans Hawaii Visit to Consider Statehood
Sixteen members of the House Territories Committee intend a late November trip to Hawaii to study statehood. Aides say they may sail from San Francisco on November 22 if shipping ties are cleared. otherwise they will fly. Representative Gossett of Texas accepted the invitation. Hawaii has funded travel costs through its territorial legislature.
