Amarillo Charter Amendment Board to Create Personnel Dept
Amarillo City Commission votes to submit a charter amendment creating a Department of Personnel with a paid Director, a three member Personnel Board, and a civil service pension system for all city employees. The July 15 1944 election will decide adoption of Article VI establishing personnel governance and pay rules.
