Santa Fe Orders 2000 Box Cars for Expansion

The Santa Fe Railway Company ordered 2,000 fifty ton box cars with 40 feet six inch steel bodies from Pullman Standard. Cars will be built at Michigan City plant as part of a continuing freight car program alongside earlier orders and locomotive and passenger car purchases.
