The body of Kenneth C. Young former Amarillo youth who died at his home in Lamesa California last Sunday night arrived at 3:65 this afternoon on the Santa Fe and was received by N S Griggs and Sons funeral directors. Final funeral arrangements will be announced in The News tomorrow.
Funeral services were held at Griggs chapel for 67 year old Mrs. Margaret A. Crossley wife of J. P. Crossley who died after pneumonia at the family home. Rev R N MacCallum officiated. Burial in Liano cemetery. Survived by husband three sons and two daughters Homer A Claude R Crossley of Los Angeles J P Crossley Jr of Amarillo Mrs John F Kent Columbus New Mexico and Montiegue Crossley Amarillo.
Johnson Street School awarded two prizes for attendance and highest year average. R Steele, principal, announced Lowell, 11, won the Amarillo Music Company prize a ukulele for the highest average with 93.7 percent. J R Mathews, 11, of the high fifth grade, achieved perfect attendance and won a fountain pen from Russell and Cockredi.
