Amarillo hosts the Panhandle Furniture Association two day meeting with about 200 members and guests expected. J W Hill says the event is mainly social with a dinner tomorrow night at the Herring Hotel and a barbecue Sunday at Palo Duro State Park supervised by A A Meredith. Rhea Owens handles registration as the group discusses a third annual gathering. Frank Heath and Lloyd Boxwell are past presidents. White flowers are noted in the report alongside a botanical aside. Four enlist in the Regular Army including Francis Parham in the armored forces and Edward Roberts in the First Cavalry Pacific theater. Raymond Campbell joins the Corps of Engineers in the Pacific.
