Graf Zeppelin completes first lap toward South America
The Graf Zeppelin landed in Seville Spain at 5 40 p m local time ending the first leg of its planned flight to South America. From Friedrichshafen the crew aimed for Seville then across the Atlantic to Pernambuco and Rio Janeiro with a return to Germany in three weeks or more. The master Dr Hugo Eckener hoped to cover about 18009 miles, second only to the globe circumnavigation last fall. The craft then planned Havana and Lakehurst before resuming the return transatlantic leg. The ship departed at 5 18 p m E S T with a heavy atmosphere prompting ballast removal.

Archie Tyler and Mrs. Frank Johnson collided at Eighth Avenue. no injuries. A three vehicle crash at Tenth Avenue and Taylor Street followed a red light stop, involving Anton Alcantos and O. A. Armstrong, with H. D. Porter turning from Taylor Street. Gov. Moody was absent, attending a cornerstone laying in Jacksonville and addressing Lon Morris graduates.

Brady Moves for New Trial in Austin Murder Case

Sorority Girl Survives Four Hours in 35-Foot Well
In Lakeland Florida Jean Gray Brown aged 14 fell into an abandoned 35 foot well during a sorority initiation. She floated eight feet of water using a self built platform from boards and bricks, aided by planks placed in holes, then kept above water with one arm. Paving Plans Tied to Street Bond Vote in May

Thompson says if the $150,000 street improvement bond issue passes in May the initial spend will pave streets with existing petitions, about $60,000 requested by citizens and $15,000 city share.
