Clark sells two pictures to Amarillo collector

Eliot Clark paintings sold to Mrs. Linnie B. McCrossan at the close of his Amarillo exhibition. One work stems from a Moroccan group and the other a New England landscape, with patrons from the Panhandle and New Mexico attending. The show, held under the Amarillo Art Association for its tenth anniversary, featured talks to Artiste Round Table and Junior Artists groups. The association plans a third youth group at area schools. A North Carolina state note states no commercial cotton will be grown on state farms this year.

The piece argues that parental deficiencies require attention or intervention from others such as teachers to improve the child’s behavior. It urges placing the child with peers and monitoring signs of misbehavior to provide guidance. It notes the Navy’s largest gun as 16 inch.
