Temperatures over 24 hours ending 6 30 AM show high 49 and low 44 with noon at 52 and precipitation of .29 inch.

New twin engined cargo planes complete world flight

At a U S air base in India on May 8 the largest mass flight in transport history concluded a 15 000 mile journey from America to India via Africa. Pilots from U S civilian lines led the group and the convoy carried 90 tons of cargo with no losses. Notable participants included William Butler of Kilgore Texas from TWA. The British destroyer Pakenham was reported lost with details unrevealed.
