Amarillo Painters Take On World House Painting Record

Thirty Amarillo painters from the Painters' Union will attack a house at 801 Taylor Street on May 17 in a bid to break a world record after a nine-room Omaha house was painted in four minutes 14 seconds. Mr. Collman Predicts No Rain Rest of Week

Braniff Plea Approved for Amarillo to Oklahoma City Air Route

Two Civil Aeronautics Authority examiners urged Braniff Airways to be authorized to open an airmail and passenger service between Amarillo and Oklahoma City. They recommended denying Trans-Southern Airlines' similar route and noted current facilities are inadequate but Atlanta service would not be justified. Examiners argued Braniff is the better option due to experience and lower start-up costs.
