Visitors included W T Gray and several district elders. Women of the San Jacinto Church served lunch in the basement. The conference closes soon after noon tomorrow.
Chicago police say a sporting goods house sold about 17 ten gams to gangsters last winter. Guns were consigned to Cicero police station for Al Capone, overlord of Cicero gangsters, with the courier insisting Cicero police would accept delivery. Authorities puzzle over how the weapons appeared later.
Chicago May Willie Jackson 28 sought by police and federal authorities for the Evergreen Park train robbery was found shot to death beside a new automobile. Fingerprint experts confirmed identity though no marks of identification remained on the body. Officials believed he may have bootlegging ties and that his death could relate to the robbery gang crackdown.
