Nine bachelor girls gathered Tuesday at 1004 Adams Street for a home coming dinner in the co operative house. The group formed a year ago to share expenses and ease life away from home with young professional and business women. Since then some moved on but Tuesday night all returned for a slimmer party before plans to move or marry pull them apart.

Highlights include operetta at the Women’s club rooms, college tea by the Amarillo branch AAW, Rainbow for Girls installation, DeMolays talk, and Junior College Club reception. A U.S. firm will construct a water supply system for Athens replacing its 140 B.C. aqueduct project. The aluminum output cited as contributing to the effort, while U.S. value in 1924 stood at £37,807,000, about one third higher than 1925.
Jeck Spradley, year old son of Myr and Mrs. Sam Spradley, died at a local hospital Tuesday night at 11 40. The body was sent from the family home by Griggs Undertaking Company and will be held pending funeral plans, with burial expected in Washburn Friday or Saturday after relatives arrive from out of town. The death followed only a few days of illness in Armstrong County, about twenty miles southeast of Amarillo.
