A new ear surgery announced to the American Otological Society describes a skin lined window carved through the inner ear’s bony wall to boost vibrations. The Lempert Armour technique shortens the ear drum to amplify wall vibrations, improving hearing in some patients.
Robert Harris and Sallie Lively of the Woman's Exchange announce the launch of Mother-N-Law kisses. The candy will be packed in special Mother's Day boxes for gift sales with national distribution planned and Amarillo as the manufacturing point.

The Amarillo civic orchestra will perform a condensed program featuring Jupiter symphony motifs, arias from Carmen Cavalleria Rusticana and Faust, plus The Chocolate Soldier. The hour and a half concert marks the season’s final regular appearance with a roster of public spirited musicians led by concert master Paul Ellis and Grace E. Hamilton on piano.
