Belleville Illinois May 4 John Haas 45 and six relatives were burned to death when their home burned early today Mrs Haas a son and an eight month old baby were severely burned escaping the blaze The cause of the fire was not disclosed and investigators were summoned to the scene

In Dallas on May 4 Rex Gabriel a 25 year old employee of A H Belo and Company died from a fractured skull after a collision between an automobile and a street car. The fatal crash occurred today.
Kenneth Heavy, 24, was struck and killed by lightning Monday night at Saint Imperial, about thirty five miles north of Fort Stockton, while on a business visit.
Deputies arrested Roger Rice and Mrs. Daisey Latmer at a hotel on a Dallas Mann Act warrant and possible bank robberies links. Rice, described as a former Henry Starr gang member, was seized as he asked for a room key, Latmer seated nearby. Waldas officers to take them into custody. telegram notes Rice with Latmer as his wife is wanted for white slave charges.
