The $120000 block sold by the Reconstruction Finance Corporation brought par plus 3466.80 premium, with Chicago firm A B Huyck & Company paying 1028.89 per 1000. Boxing champ King Levinsky knocked out James H. Murphy who was connected to a machine gun gang in a Hollywood home robbery attempt. Murphy and two other suspects were later detained on kidnapping charges. Plot Against Mate Confessed by Woman
Beaumont May 1 Ranger Dan Hines announced Mrs. Reable Childs gave a detailed statement detailing how she and Terrance Bramlett her lover of two years plotted and carried out the killing of her crippled husband Morlie Childs to obtain his property. Murder charges were filed against Mrs. Childs and Bramlett after Shelby County officers investigated the shooting as Childs stood in his bathroom at Center brushing his teeth the night of April 23. A small caliber bullet struck him behind the ear at close range with powder burns on the window screen. Childs was a wealthy property owner and former county treasurer. Mrs. Childs appeared smiling and cheerful after making a full statement corroborating a 36 page statement Bramlett had previously made.

Amarilloans will depart at 7 30 tomorrow morning on a motor trip to Guymon Oklahoma to repay a visit from Guyman boosters.
