INSULL Washington March 30 The Turkish government informed the state department it would arrest and detail Samuel Insull for extradition. Ambassador Skinner said Ankara promised to arrest on receipt of a certified warrant and full judicial record. A copy of the warrant was sent to Ankara and plans for the indictment text arranged.
Secretary of Agriculture Henry A. Wallace faces the Red plot controversy after a telegram from Dr William A Wirt quoted him as saying a tentative answer hinges on deciding the direction to take. Wirt denies aiming to spark a Communist manhunt. The House plans a $500 investigation with a special committee likely to be named Monday led by Representative George Foulkes from Michigan.
