Freight train derailed and burned at Lelia Lake
Sixteen freight cars of the Fort Worth and Denver Railway derailed and burned at 10 54 last night at Lelia Lake. Denver authorities reported that an object fell before a car causing the derailment and pulling 15 more cars off the track before stoppage. The train had 46 cars and the first derailment occurred eight to ten cars behind the engine. Burned cars carried sand gravel and some merchandise.
