Knights of Road Neglect Leads Injured Man
T W Williams a 39 year old Austin man was found badly chilled with a broken left leg near Rock Island cars early Tuesday. He said he fell while boarding a Rock Island train Monday evening and pleaded for aid from nearby knights of the road who refused. Williams was found by Guy Bowers and Bill Freeman and taken five blocks to a phone. An x ray was being made at Northwest Texas Hospital. W B Plummer 71 of Harlingen lost his left foot under a Fort Worth and Denver freight train near Buchanan Street crossing Monday afternoon. Plummer was taken by his son to St. Anthony's hospital.
