Two major rental housing developments begin construction in the city under the FHA Section 608 program. West Haven Park will add 144 units as crews start on a new office site led by Bill Schutts. Green Acres Apartments proposes 174 units with 53 two unit buildings and 17 four unit buildings on Plains Boulevard, plus two commercial structures. Plans prepared by Otto Phillips and Charles E. Armstrong, with site plans including parking and a playground, and construction expected to surpass the earlier eight two story buildings recently completed.
