Started Pencil Hobby From Helping Another Collector
Riley Wilkinson of 1023 Bellaire began collecting advertising pencils after giving a few to a post office colleague. He now owns over 600 pencils, mostly from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and nearby Southwestern points. A traveling tourist once credited his hobby and sent six pencils from different cities, fueling Wilkinson's interest in the odd pastime. Australia is noted for about 300 known parrots.
