Analysts say production could exceed 200 barrels daily without shooting as eight inch casing remains in use.

Rock Island to Build Amarillo to Liberal Rail Line

Engineers will arrive in Amarillo soon to finalize plans for immediate construction of the Rock Island line from Amarillo to Liberal Kansas. Material is en route and construction will be hurried with a temporary bridge planned to open through traffic once connected to the main line. A permanent steel bridge and 96 pound rail with ballast will complete the route to the Canadian River.

Two bootleggers halted by sheriff after chase

Sheriff Pollard and Deputies Townes and Sloan stopped two bootlegger suspects near the refinery after a high speed chase from Bud Mutter’s farm.
