Threatening letters land him in jail
New York, March 21. Les ter David O'Dell, 35, a letter writer, was arrested for letters to President Roosevelt that contained threats and demands for money. Magistrate Irving Ben Cooper held him on 5000 dollars bail for a March 30 hearing. The letters accused cabinet officers of misconduct and claimed payment for work for officials.
