Seven local clubs Lions Rotary Optimist American Business North Amarillo San Jacinto and Downtown Kiwanis sponsor the event. Proceeds will buy robes for the 80 voice choir. The Amarillo Independent School District executive board will not hold its regular meeting tonight. Items intended for tonight were addressed at a special meeting last Monday at the Senior High School. No date for the next meeting has been set. George Waddill, the business manager, stated.
In Los Angeles a New York caller asked to summon the occupant of apartment 10 A to the phone. Deputy Frank Connors refused. The caller said the friend gave the address as County Hotel Temple and Broadway, but the deputy noted 10 A is the jail’s felony tank.
