Generally fair conditions across West Texas tonight and Friday with cooler readings in Southeast Texas. Oklahoma sees fair, cooler conditions tonight and Friday.

Lieutenant Jack W. Albright of Philadelphia was killed and Lieutenant W. D. Ligenfritz of Upper Darby Pennsylvania injured when the plane they piloted crashed during a forced landing near Belair Maryland. They were returning to Philadelphia after visiting Maryland guard aviators at Logan field.

Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh left Mexico City for Brownsville at 9 37 a m aboard the new Mexico City Brownsville air mail service. He was delayed an hour by engine trouble and was accompanied by co pilot R Kent. Anne Morrow was not present and farewells were private at the embassy residence.
J G Harper of Grand Prairie surrendered to Sheriff Hood after neighbor Tom Barrow was shot to death. Harper said two shots were fired with a shotgun. he offered no discussion of the tragedy as officers left Dallas for the scene about 15 miles away. Griggs ambulance listed.

Bollinge Chapman and Garland drown in rising waters while Louisville and Nashville crews work to free Engineer Bostick Haman after a derailment 18 miles north of Castleberry. Illinois faces rising floods from melting snow with Galena and East Freeport hardest hit as damages mount.

Mary Groves faced district court with a charge of shoplifting linked to a coat theft at Warner's on October 12 1927. Co-defendant William Hepworth was convicted and sentenced to four years in the penitentiary. both fled bonds and were later arrested in California. Hepworth's appeal was affirmed and he awaits removal to the penitentiary.
