A divorce case cites a wife smoking and reading romantic literature as grounds. The piece argues such grounds would redefine wifely duties and notes women now share housework, appliances, and leisure, urging the judge to rule no grounds for divorce.

Salads With Beets and Filling On Cress
Household Hints suggest a beet salad with a cream or cottage cheese filling chilled and cut into cubes served on cress. A filling for graham bread sandwiches uses chopped currants carrots and salted peanuts moistened with orange juice. Roll in a Turkish towel to absorb water and air dry if small and not pressed.
Garment Care For Woolen Sports Wear
This season's woolen sports wear is bright and gay. True flower shades shine as brightly on the skating pond and ski trail as in any summer garden. Most of these wools are tubbable. Wash each color separately in milk lukewarm suds. Work quickly. Douse the garment in the suds several times, but do not rub on a board. Better results with a second suds bath the same temperature. Then rinse in at least three clear lukewarm rinses squeezing, not wringing.
Housecleaning Tool For Dust In Corners
A wooden skewer is recommended as a handy gadget for cleaning dust from floor corners, woodwork, and furniture. Cover the sharp point with a cloth and carefully sweep into tight angles.
