The Panhandle endured the season’s coldest spell with snow flurries and temperatures dropping to 16 degrees in Amarillo after a night low of 11 in Amarillo and four at Dumas. Snow, starting at 6 AM, remained light, not exceeding an inch, with widespread but light accumulation reaching Clarendon. Wind was moderate, gas use rose past 20 million feet, and schools reported no major impact.

Amarillo sells half of city bonds in favorable deal

Amarillo contracts to sell 461000 dollars of city bonds for 83.6 cents on the dollar with 4 3 4 percent interest. The city also buys 75000 dollars of Fisher County bonds at par from its sinking fund. The deal, negotiated by C M Dunne and associates of Wichita and John D McCall of Dallas, was approved February 10 and payments come in biweekly, totaling 185000 to date.

Passengers marooned on buses near Bergen N Y

Thirteen passengers on two Bata via Rochester buses became marooned in deep snowdrifts near Bergen sixteen miles east of Batavia today. Borger Celebrates Sixth Birthday With Legion Led Parade
