A column argues naval air power may replace or augment battleships, noting that aircraft alone may prove useless without carriers. It highlights Britain and Japan developing large air ships, questions the Navy’s persistence with battleship culture, and urges embracing airplanes to rally voters. The piece adds unrelated notes on Dr. Cutter’s cholecystokinin research and a Detroit adoption tale, ending as it continues on page two.
