Mrs. Wolflin Wins 54 Hole Amarillo Women’s Net Medal
Mrs. Frank Wolflin edged Mrs. J W Ross by one stroke to win the Amarillo Country Club Women’s Golf Association 54 hole net medal play tournament. The three day event ended yesterday with Wolflin posting 211 after a 74 yesterday and leading by two at 36 holes. Other scores list Mrs. David Patton 218 and several players from 220 to 240. In the nine hole bracket tied honors went to Mrs. Edgar Wilson and Mrs. H E Robbins with 105 each amid a 27 hole format.

Legion and Reds Win YMCA Civic Softball Games
The American Legion and the WOW Reds won in YMCA Civic Softball League action last night. Legion pitcher Bernie Gebhart allowed three hits as they beat the 20 30 Club 10 to 4, while the Reds defeated the Jaycees 10 to 4. Carol Hai homered for the Legionnaires in the fourth inning with two aboard to fuel a 10 hit attack.
