Hollywood editorials clash with film producers over audience demands. Public pressure grows as box office declines and the Will Hays censorship regime tightens. Industry vows to remove objectionable content and heed the censor board to avert broader controls.
Tickets for Jan Garber concert and dance at the Tri-State Fair sold at City Drug Store No 1. Concert tickets cost 1.40 and 0.35 dollars. On the lower floor buy 31 tickets and receive a free lower floor seat. Dance admission is 1.50 per person. Garber airs tonight 10:30 to 11 from Station WFAA Dallas before heading to Amarillo.
A joint force of 35 to 40 peace officers from New Mexico and Texas hunted Ed Stanton and three other desperadoes after they escaped a Lubbock jail. The getaway car was found burned near Appermont, Texas, with hostsages freed nearby. Reports placed fugitives south of Abilene and in Cone and Coleman counties as officers pursued in Norton and Bronte areas.
Senator Clint C. Small campaigned across Amarillo and the Panhandle, declaring law enforcement and Texas crime the top issue of the race. He urged rivals to state positions, blamed Attorney General James V. Allred for lax enforcement, and outlined strict actions including pardons, betting, gambling, dog and horse racing, and utilities regulation.
New York reports Polly Lauder Tunney gave birth to a second son at the New York Medical Center. Gene Tunney's first son is three years old. Mother and baby are reported in excellent condition. The infant has not yet been named.

New York June 26 Directors of the Atchison Topeka Santa Fe Railway Co declared a dividend of $2 a share on the common stock. This is the first payment on the common since June 1 1932 when $1 was distributed.
Eight month old Billie Jean Foster swallowed an inch long safety pin, causing pain and concerns about feeding. Doctors waited as the pin moved from the esophagus to the stomach over six days, then operated to remove it. The pin punctured the stomach wall but the child recovers, and the parents vow pins will not be part of the baby's diet.
President Roosevelt will speak to the nation at 8 30 p m Amarillo time Thursday night to report on the state of the union and will avoid political statements. He signed a prison industries bill and planned a Caribbean stop on a forthcoming cross country and Hawaii cruise program.

They say Rudolph Pisani Valen tine Notargi and John Brown were caught in a fire job plus Pisani's mother Elsie involved. Andrew Sciacca abducted outside his West Jackson Boulevard home by armed men seeking ransom.

He said 400 000 barrels per day is the efficient withdrawal rate and recommended curbing to that figure. Current production June 22 stood at 508 645 barrels daily with a proposed limit of four per cent of hourly potential.
In McAlester Oklahoma on June 26 officers probed the slayings of three Canadian born men, William Gant, 24, Homer Beasley, 27, and Hobart Watkins. Bodies found 100 yards apart in woods 20 miles northeast. a campaign card note hinted at forgery and possible witness involvement. Suspects including Jack Rackley, Bill Moore, George Baker, their wives, Bun Riley, and two others were detained for questioning.
Charges against Dr FE Jarrel of Tyler were dismissed here today in connection with an alleged sale of state jobs.
Crowds have departed and stables empty as the Tri-State Racing Association wraps up at the fairgrounds. Owners trainers and jockeys bid farewell to Amarillo and head toward Georgetown Galveston and other meets. Carpenter & Tull will close the facilities as Derby Day hay passes into 1935.
