Move To Free Scarface From Prison

Philadelphia June 26 Attorneys for Alphonse Scarface Capone filed a writ of coram nobis in municipal court to seek reversal of his year sentence at Holmesburg prison. Tri-State Fair Rodeo Tickets Go On Sale Monday

Ticket sale for the Tri-State Fair rodeo opens Monday at City Drug store. Rodeo runs July 3 4 5 at Texan ball park with 1600 reserved grandstand seats at 1 25 and 1200 box seats at 1 50 per performance. General admission sold at gates. City Offices Move July 15 Amid Auditorium Reorganization

City offices and chamber of commerce will swap spaces and relocate by July 15. City manager W N Durham said the move excludes police and follows city board of equalization meetings July 8 to 10. The water and health departments were preserved after talks with the Chamber of Commerce.

College vote set for July 16 on junior college district

Amarillo Independent School District trustees announced a July 16 election to decide on creating a junior college within the existing district. The plan would place the new college under the local school board and operate as part of the district’s school system.
