In Morristown Tennessee three men were shot as gunfire erupted near the Enka rayon plant gate during a strike. At Redwood City California on June 22 thirty moviegoers were injured when the balcony ceiling collapsed showering ten tons of plaster. Fifteen required hospitalization though only one was in serious condition. Mrs Vangie Case remained unconscious after a fall from the loge. Several others were treated for minor injuries at Palo Alto and San Mateo hospitals. The accident occurred about 15 minutes before midnight as patrons were leaving.
