Four Hurt In Wreck On Sixteenth Street Near KGNC Tower
A Tuesday morning collision overturned a truck at Sixteenth and Grand near the old KGNC tower injuring 28 occupants from Clarendon and Ashton who were homeward bound from a revival in Amarillo. The car driver, Phipps age 27 of 616 Vernon, faces a driving while intoxicated charge. Mrs. Ivan Holman, 68, Clarendon, suffered severe lacerations. John Maynard Jr., son of Mr and Mrs John W R Maynard of Hayden, is referenced among injured or affected persons.
