City commissioners approved several paving projects and sewer extensions at last night’s meeting. Work on Lincoln Street from Sixth to Tenth, Van Buren Street resurfacing from 24th to 25th, replacing parking on 16th Avenue between Polk and Tyler, and sewer extensions on Moore Street and 7th and 8th Avenues between Roberts and Williams Streets will begin Monday morning, per City Engineer W R Stanley.
Amarillo pilots and airport officials are invited to the formal opening of Louis Schreiner airport in Kerrville Texas on June 15 and 16. The field honors donor Louis Schreiner, with Gov. Dan Moody delivering the acceptance speech. Prizes will be offered for stunt flying and take off and landing.

Ellen Carter and W. S. Rule convey Lot 10 Block 161 G and S to J D Hess by quit claim. Geo Warren and others transfer Lot 162 Block 9 B S F to J L Nunn via quit claim. The records list these property transfers among the deeds in a single notice.
John Sterling Frazer, a 24 year officer in San Antonio, is reinstated after a two year suspended sentence for fatally shooting Dr Daniel A Tyler, chiropractor, last October. His wife testified Tyler made advances to her five days before the shooting.
Howard Boxwell of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home said an appeal would be filed in the Boxwell Brothers versus EF M Blackburn case within days. A jury verdict in Judge W E Gee's district civil court found Boxwell Brothers must pay $8500 claimed as debt from 1919, though the defense argues the debt predated the firms' organization.
Captain Albin Abhrenberg’s attempt to fly from Stockholm to Greenland was halted in Reykjavik as weather reports delayed favorable conditions for his next leg. Canada United Press dispatch from Reykjavik notes the trip is pending clear skies and calmer seas before resuming the voyage.
