Tunneling burglars escape with 2000 at Whiteway Food Store
Burglars tunneled into Whiteway Food Store No 1 at 1200 East Tenth yesterday morning and stole about 2000 from a safe. Entry was gained by a tunnel under a wall and shelf, the tunnel opening near meat counters. Loren Young owns the store. A cafe at 108 Buchanan was robbed of 4 dollars and two cartons of cigarettes the same night.
