Truck Jeep Collision Near Washburn Kills Two
Two people died and two others were critically injured after a noon collision between a truck and a jeep near Washburn. Deceased are William M. Lamb and Don M. Hill, the latter a 14 year old Eastland youth. Injured are Winston C. Connors 41 of 3619 Concho, and Douglas King 14 of Eastland. Hill died after arrival at St Anthony’s Hospital. Lamb pinned beneath engine. front axle and wheels knocked off. King is son of an Eastland auto dealer. Connors and Lamb left Eastland with a load of furniture. Boxwell Brothers ambulance transported the injured youths to St. Anthony’s Hospital. Connors to Northwest Texas Hospital. Heath, Clarendon automobile dealer, helped at the scene.
