Charles Cook 43 prominent Pampa attorney oil man and civic builder died after illness. He belonged to the firm Cook Smith Teed Sturton and Wade and had served Gray County as attorney for 12 years. He helped bring the Denver Northern Railroad to Pampa and to connect to the Port Worth and Denver line. He is survived by his widow three daughters and a son. The body will arrive Amarillo Saturday and services are set for 3 p m Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Pampa.
