The state tax rate was set at 69 cents per $1000 valuation for 1932, down from 74 cents last year. School tax remains 35 cents, Confederate pensions 7 cents, general revenue 27 cents. Valuations dropped from about $4.181 billion to $3.920 billion, with $347.6 million in exemptions for general revenue taxes.

The plan would straighten the route for State Highway 33 U S 50 and State 75 U S 50, with the old crossing retained for local traffic and paving reused as base for new surface.
