LANCASTER, Pa. July 23 Beating his rival to the home of a girl friend may cost Titus Denlinger 22 his driver's license for 90 days. Charged with driving 70 miles an hour, Denlinger said he mistook a state motor policeman's car for that of the other boy friend.
Patsy Lou and Thurman Fletcher, children of Mrs. Winnie Fletcher, were hit by Clyde Hooks’s car at Fourth Avenue and Taylor Street during heavy rain around 2 pm. They arrived at St. Anthony's Hospital in a non serious condition, after being taken from the scene.
Amarillo contractors Jim Bell and W W Braden of Bell and Braden have landed a third major award at Sweetwater municipal airport by the war department. The latest bid covers primary grading at 156 372 dollars while yardage more than doubled. The initial grading contract was 87 697 80 dollars and the runways paving contract figure was not disclosed. Cocke and Braden will merge into Bell and Braden August 1 following the death of senior partner Mr Cocke February 23.
