In Monticello Kentucky a posse and mob search the Cumberland foothills for three youths believed to have entered Slick Rock school yesterday, abducted 19 year old teacher Ruby Taylor, stripped her, and assaulted her. Edward F. Schlee president of Schlee-Brock Aircraft was seriously injured at Detroit city airport when struck by a propeller while removing wheel blocks. He and two companions planned a trip to Wausau Wisconsin on business. Schlee flew with William S. Brock from Detroit to Tokio in The Pride of Detroit.
A party of Amarillo merchants will depart Santa Fe station at 8:00 AM for a visit to Borger with a 10:45 AM arrival after a Panhandle stop. The group includes the Amarillo high school band and will parade in Panhandle and Borger, then tour Borger industries before returning home at 5:30 PM. Special round trip fare is $3.
The Woolaroc monoplane, sponsored by Frank Phillips of Bartlesville, will tour the middlewest for the last time with Col. Art Goebel piloting. Bud King, wounded in a Saturday night shootout with deputy A. L. Pickens, terrorizes settlers in the Arbuckle mountains near Pauls Valley as Garvin county officers and bloodhounds pursue him. King wounded the deputy during a dance hall incident and is now on the run.
The city jail was empty for the first time in over three years after four Negroes and two white men charged with drunkenness and vagrancy were dismissed. Officer Gamblin warned of a coming storm while Chief McDowell ordered deputies to refill the jail at any cost.

Lon Hawkins aged 60 died at a local hospital from wounds believed self inflicting while jailed. The body was sent to Sarcoxie Missouri at 1:40 pm by N. B. Griggs & Sons, with widow Mrs. Hawkins and children J. M. and Miss Virginia Hawkins. Judge Homer A. Callaway presided over the court of inquiry and said Hawkins had called for help about an hour before officers arrived.
Lester Bouyer alias Charles Harris, a negro, was convicted of first degree murder by a Barbour county jury in Eufaula for killing Jack Hines, a mechanic, on a roadside four miles away on July 10. The jury deliberated briefly and Circuit Judge J B Williams sentenced Bouyer to electrocution at Kilby Prison on August 23.
James Rae Clarke senior partner pleaded guilty in federal and general sessions courts to indictments tied to Clarke Brothers failure. Federal charges accuse him of using the mails to defraud while general sessions allege deposits were accepted after insolvency was known.
Fort Worth on July 23 reports Mrs. William Malloy, 21, was found slain on the front porch when her husband cut her throat and then killed himself. He died minutes later. The案 incident occurred shortly before noon in their home.
